Chamber Winds Concert

Performing Student Info

Students in an ensemble, please plan to arrive by 6:30 pm, allowing plenty of time to get situated and play a bit before the performance.

Band Room 3 serves as a holding area.

Please do not run or frolic in the hallways during the concert.

The performance order will be posted back stage and in the warm-up area. Make sure that you are keeping an eye on the time so you are ready to go. Most of these performances will not be very long, so please plan on checking in with Mrs. Barnes backstage TWO groups before your turn (the group on stage, the group right before you, and then YOU). This will help make sure things run smoothly.

Remember to dress nice, be early, and conduct yourself professionally in the backstage areas.

UHS Concert Bands Performances: Concert Band, Symphonic Band, Symphonic Winds & Wind Ensemble

Student Info

o   Concert Band and Symphonic Band

  • 6:00 pm Call time for CB and SB

    • CB on stage

    • SB in BR1

  • Audience doors open at 6:15 pm

  • Concert Band Performance begins at 6:30 pm

  • CB will leave the stage after performing and continue to uniform turn-in

  • SB takes the stage after CB clears, moving from BR1

  • SB will leave the stage after performing and continue to uniform turn-in

o   Symphonic Winds and Wind Ensemble

  • 7:00 pm Call time for SW and WE

    • SW in Orch room

    • WE in BR2

  • 7:20 pm approx. = SW moves to stage, WE moves to audience seating

  • Performance begins with Symphonic Winds at 7:30 pm

  • SW will leave the stage after performing and continue to uniform turn-in

  • WE takes the stage after SW clears, moving from audience seating

  • WE will leave the stage after performing and continue to uniform turn-in

UHS Bands + Tulsa Signature Symphony In Concert

We are proud to announce that the Signature Symphony at TCC and The Union High School Band are scheduled to appear together in concert on Friday, April 23, 2021 at UMAC Arena for a springtime outdoor performance.

  • Doors open at 7:30pm

  • Concert Begins at 8:00pm

  • Concessions available

This performance is mandatory for Union Bands students grades 9-12.

Student Itinerary

  • 3:30pm Percussion Students assist in loads of equipment headed to UMAC from UHS

  • 4:30pm Meal Served BY RESERVATION ONLY

  • 6:15pm Call Time + Dress Into Uniform

    • Student will wear sliders (compression shorts) beneath the uniform pants

    • Black Union Bands member shirt or equivalent black t-shirt is the undershirt is required

    • Long Black socks and black marching band shoes are required

    • black disposable facemask provided

    • brasses uses provided bell covers

  • 6:30pm Move to UMAC with instrument and music stand

  • 7:00pm Brief rehearsal with TSS

  • 7:30pm Situate seating in the upper back concourse

  • 8:00pm TSS Concert Begins

  • 8:45pm Transition into arena for Finale

  • 9:00/9:15pm Concert concludes

    • Dress out of Uniform

    • brasses deposit bell covers

    • Snacks available

    • Stow equipment

    • Percussion and other equipment move back to UHS via truck loads

    • Dismissal — please depart campus or be picked up by 9:45pm
