We are excited to share that SEVEN Union H.S. Band students have been recognized as Finalist candidates for 2020-21 Mr./Miss Union, generally known as the highest honor a Union High School student can receive. OF particular note is that HALF of the men’s finalists are band students! Let’s hear it for finalists Emma Plunkett, Casey Piercy, Alexis Solorzano, Ethan Sorrels, Xavier Williams, Evan Xiao, and Jackson Yeats, all Seniors in the Union Bands Class of 2021!

Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors: be sure to select your band peers in the upcoming Mr. / Miss Union voting, so that we can do our best to get a win for our band teammates!

PIERCY recognized as Senior of the Month

A special shout-out to our very own CASEY PIERCY, named Union High School Senior-of-the-Month for January 2021. Casey has participated in the Union High School marching band and wind ensemble for the entirety of his high school career. A versatile musician, Casey plays the Oboe, Bassoon, and Saxophone. And he’s got some dance moves!

Congrats, Casey, on well-deserved recognition!

Students Recognized by Optimists Club

Union High School students Cierra Irving and Jayden Brewer were recently recognized by the Broken Arrow Optimists Club for achieving success amidst tremendous challenge. Cierra and Jayden were nominated by Union Director of Bands Charles Pisarra. Along with two other local students, Irving and Brewer participated in the Optimists’ 2020-21 awards banquet on Tuesday, January 12, at which they were awarded a medallion of honor.
