In October, the Renegade Regiment is competing at the Bands of America (BOA) Super Regionals in Indianapolis!
Here’s everything we know so far:
· The band will depart on charter buses either late Thursday, Oct. 23 or early on Friday, Oct. 24.
· They will rehearse on Friday afternoon or evening.
· The band will stay in a hotel Friday night (awaiting our assignment from BOA).
· Our Prelims performance will be sometime Saturday morning between 9am-12pm Eastern Time (exact time will be announced soon).
· The top 14 bands will perform in Finals that evening, approximately 7-10:30pm ET.
· After the last finals performance, all bands will line up on the field for Massing, where scores and awards will be announced and presented live.
· The band will load back on the charter buses and depart for Tulsa after the awards, around midnight.
For parents and families not going on the trip: The entire competition will be livestreamed for a nominal fee, so you can be part of it and cheer them on from home! There will be ample band staff and parent chaperones, so your kids will be well taken care of, celebrated, and will have a blast!
For parents and families traveling to Indy: Those who want to be chaperones (sign-up coming soon!) will travel on the buses with the band and will be assigned a room of students to watch over at the hotel. We are also looking into getting a block of tickets for the competition so we can all cheer on RR together!
