Free Internet Service for QUALIFYING Families

“Many families are yet in need reliable internet in their homes to help their children with school.  That is why the City of Tulsa has partnered with Cox Communications to use CARES Act dollars to fund one year of FREE in-home internet for families with students attending a Union School District school who do not already have an internet subscription*.  If your family meets the eligibility requirements for this program, you could enroll immediately.  Tulsa Responds believe that your family is most likely eligible.

The City of Tulsa has hired staff at Tulsa Responds to explain the details of the program, answer questions, determine your eligibility, and to guide you through the process, all at no cost to you. To find out if you qualify, please submit an intake form at www.tulsaresponds.org, or call at 918.900.0918 to speak with an agent (Hours: 8a-8p Mon-Fri, 10a-4p Sa).

Again, if you qualify for this program, you can have high-speed internet in your home for 12 months at no cost to you. At the conclusion of the 12 months you may choose to discontinue your subscription and return your equipment or continue at the rate of $9.95/month.

  • For students choosing In-Person Class Rehearsals:

    • Transportation to & from rehearsals is on-your-own.

    • Students will enter the building via the quad-glass doors into the UHS Fine Arts area, located on the Bus Loop.

    • Doors will not open prior to 7:45am, and will be open no later than 8:00am. Doors will be locked by 8:15am, so timely arrival is critical.

    • Students must depart the campus at the conclusion of rehearsal, doing so by 9:15am. Loitering on the campus, whether inside or outside of the building, is not allowed.

    • Any student driving himself or herself to campus will park in the northeast-most part of the campus (nearest the Union Collegiate Academy entrance); parking nor entering/exiting the building from the south is permitted.

    • All standard safety protocols must be practiced: distancing, regular masking for percussionists, slotted masks for winds, shields for flutes, bell covers for brasses, absorption pads for brass water keys/spit valves.

    • The student must have his/her instrument, print music, and a pencil for use in the rehearsal.

  • For students choosing Synchronous (Zoom) Rehearsals:

    • The student's device camera must be turned on during the entire rehearsal.
