Union 6/7th Grade Center Band Room
WHO/WHAT
Union Bands Switch-Camp for 7th Graders changing from a 6th grade primary instrument to a color instrument. This camp will cover in-depth instrument skills needed for the 7th grade & beyond, is taught by Union Bands faculty, and is free of charge.
This camp is considered mandatory unless previous communication regarding a conflict of schedule has been received.

INSTRUMENT SPECIFICS
Oboe & Bassoon: a school-provided instrument, startup supplies, and method book will be provided and ready for participating students on the first day of camp.
Saxophone: you will need to have your instrument rented or purchased BEFORE the 1st day of camp so that you can get started right away. The only acceptable saxophones are Yamaha Student Models. If you already have a saxophone, please consult your teacher to make sure it is of acceptable quality and condition. You’ll need a few 2.5 strength VanDoren reeds (blue box), a neck strap, a mouthpiece (Rousseau Classic 68), & a ligature (Rovner). A method book will be provided to each student at no cost.
