• CONCERT ATTIRE

  • Standard black performance attire

  • Guys: the shirt under the back tux jacket is a button-down dress shirt with a collar. Long black socks with black dress shoes or MTX shoes.

• SCHEDULE

  • EXCUSED from Class Hours 3,4,5,6 (exception: jazz ensemble students will return to class rehearsal)

  • 10:45am lunch (on your own)

    • 10:55am FRESHMEN: bus departs from UFA to UHS

  • 11:45pm dress into concert attire

  • 12:05pm team meeting in BR2

  • 12:15pm load bus. Remember to bring instrument, music folder, all accessories.

  • 12:25pm bus departs UHS for TCC

  • 12:35pm arrive at TCC, un-case instruments & store cases in specified area

  • 12:55pm transition to warm-up room

  • 1:00pm festival event warm-up

  • 1:30pm transition to stage

  • 1:40pm festival performance & clinic (Van Trease PACE Auditorium)

    • Judges: Dr. Bill Wakefield and Dr. Danny Brock

    • Clinic: Dr. Bill Wakefield

  • 2:30pm clinic concludes. transition to cases storage room. case instruments

  • 2:35pm load bus

    • Any student who might need to return to UHS in order to make it to 6th Hour class by driving him/herself, please submit a permission perform here

  • 2:40pm bus departs TCC for UHS

  • 2:50pm arrive at UHS. Jazz ensemble students attend to class rehearsal as usual.

INFORMATION FOR PARENTS AND OTHER GUESTS

This event is free & open to the public and parents are encouraged to attend if able. NOTE: following the performance of the concert repertoire, the students will engage in a rehearsal session with one of the judge-clinicians.
