Union 8th Grade Night @ UHS Varsity Football Game

Student Itinerary

5:15-5:30pm Drop-off and enter building on its North side and walk to band room entry, which is located on the bus loop near the construction zone.
- Parents: please enter the campus at the Traffic Signal at 66th St. and Mingo Rd. (see map), then follow the pattern of moving vehicles.
5:30pm Students meet in the UHS PAC audience seating area
- un-case instruments
- team meeting
6:00pm HS students join in the PAC for team meeting
6:15pm All students dismissed by instrument section to stadium. 8th grade students will pair with their assigned HS buddy.
7:05pm Kickoff, Go Union!
approx 8:15pm Observe Union High School Renegade Regiment Marching Band Halftime performance. Following the RR performance, 8th graders go to assigned position on the field for Fight Song performance.
approx 8:45pm 2nd half of football game
approx 10:00pm Game concludes, return to UPAC to stow instruments in cases
approx 10:15pm Pizza party (more info below)
11:30pm Deadline for pickup at North side of the HS building

Instrument
- NOT E: School-owned HOME horns will be used for this event [French Horns, Baritones, Tubas, etc.] so please plan ahead for this plan.)
Neck straps, reeds, mouthpiece

Black jeans or black pants
Comfortable tennis shoes black, gray, red, or white.
Students can bring and wear a jacket in the stands provided it is black, gray, red, or white in color.

In the event of rain
- Woodwinds will go inside to case up instruments and return to the stadium to cheer on the team.
- Brasses and percussion will likely play in the rain
In the case of threatening lightning, appropriate shelter will be taken.

Parents wishing to watch the performance will be required to purchase a ticket to the game at the stadium box office.
