Laura Barnes is currently in her fifth year as a band director. She has previously taught in Broken Arrow, Oklahoma and North Las Vegas, Nevada. 

Mrs. Barnes is a graduate of Oklahoma State University, where she earned her Bachelor's degree in Instrumental Music Education. During her time at Oklahoma State, Mrs. Barnes studied flute with Dr. Virginia Broffitt Junzer and conducting with Dr. Joseph Missal. She performed in several ensembles at OSU including the Wind Ensemble, Symphonic Band, and Cowboy Marching Band.
Mrs. Barnes currently lives in Tulsa with her husband Andrew and their pug Teddy.
