   Mr. Pritner is currently in his thirteenth year as assistant band director with Union Public Schools. Before coming to Union, Mr. Pritner taught for three years as assistant band director with Jenks Public Schools. Mr. Pritner is also on music faculty with the Tulsa Community College Music Department where he teaches low brass applied study and ensemble.

Mr. Pritner received his Bachelor of Music degree in Music Education with a minor in Music Technology from
Northwestern University (Evanston, IL) and his Master of Education degree from The University of Oklahoma (Norman, OK). Mr. Pritner has studied tuba under Arnold Jacobs, Rex Martin, Charles Daellenbach, Pat Crumpley, Mark Moore, Scott Watson, and Mark Mordue and conducting under John P. Paynter, Mallory Thompson, Frederick Ockwell, Ray Cramer, Dean Cole, and Leigh Burns.

Mr. Pritner has performed tuba with numerous organizations including the Northwestern University band programs,
The Star of Indiana - Brass Theater, Tulsa's Signature Symphony, Tulsa's Starlight Band, Star of Indiana Alumni Corps 2010, The Spotlight Brass, Tulsa's SilverTop Brass, and various community bands and orchestras in the Tulsa area as well as freelance.  He has also served as a guest clinician with area programs and honor bands.

Mr. Pritner has served as the Vice-President for the Northeast Band Director's Association for six years and the Union Classroom Teacher's Association for two years.  He has led the Union Eighth Grade Band as the Middle School Honor Band at the Oklahoma Music Educator's Association convention in 2002.  Mr. Pritner has served as a staff member with performances in the Tournament of Roses Parade, Bands of America National Concert Band Festival, Bands of America Grand National Finals, and Oklahoma Bandmasters Association State Champions. Mr. Pritner is a proud member of NEA, OEA, NBDA, Phi Mu Alpha Sinfonia, and Who's Who among American HS Students, American College Students, and American Teachers.  Mr. Pritner graduated valedictorian from Western Heights High School in Oklahoma City, OK.

In addition to teaching band, Mr. Pritner is the Area Director for the State of Oklahoma and an active leader with
People to People Ambassador Programs. He has taught leadership programs at Harvard, UCLA, Columbia, and Stanford Universities and has traveled extensively throughout the United States as well as Australia, Austria, Belgium, Canada, China, Czech Republic, England, France, Germany, Ireland, Italy, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Mexico, The Netherlands, Poland, Scotland, Spain, Sweden, Switzerland and Wales.
