Dear 8th Grade Band Parents,
The semester is quickly progressing, and it is already time to prepare for next year. Below you will find important dates and information for your reference. We are extremely excited to see these 8th grade students move to the high school band program. This is always a very detailed and tough process, and we want to make this transition as smooth as possible. Our advice would be to start preparing now for events and financial responsibilities so there are less headaches and conflicts down the road. Please let me know if you have any questions or concerns. THURSDAY, AUGUST 1– MANDATORY 2-a-Days Begin – ALL students MUST be in attendance at this pre-season camp, which starts on Thursday, August 1st and essentially continues until school starts. All dentist/doctor/etc. appointments and summer vacations and camps should be completed before August 1 if at all possible. Thanks for your help on this.
*NOTE – Attendance at all summer mini-camps is mandatory for all students. Exceptions are made for camps and other out-of-town family commitments with prior written notification to the Union Band Staff. Work or other commitments “in-town” are not excused. These mini-camps are important and set the tone for the success level of the season. Each student’s attendance is crucial! Any conflicts will be able to be communicated towards the end of this school year when the full 2013-2014 calendar and commitment information is released.

** Please make all checks out to “Union Band Parents Club” or “UBPC”
** Student accounts do take time to be updated due to the financial process.

Student Band Accounts
We have all of or 8thgrade students setup with their own personal band financial account. This service is created and maintained by our Band Parent Organization. We have an email setup that you can contact to check your child’s current balance.
