Adam Bruce is the assistant director/ percussion specialist for Union Public Schools in Tulsa, Oklahoma. As such, he teaches and oversees all aspects of the percussion program from grades 6-12. In his time at Union, the marching band has twice been named a BOA Grand Nationals finalist. The indoor drumline has also been a WGI World Championships PSO finalist twice while under his direction.
As a performer, Adam has played with the Oklahoma City Philharmonic as well as the Colts, Bluecoats, and The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. Since then, Adam has been on the instructional staff with Gateway Indoor, the Crossmen, and The Cavaliers Drum & Bugle Corps. Prior to his involvement in drum corps, Adam was a student at the Juilliard Summer Percussion Seminar.
Adam has a master’s degree in Percussion Performance from Oklahoma City University and a bachelor's degree from Oklahoma Christian University in Instrumental Music Education where he was awarded the Dean's Music Award, Outstanding Underclassmen Award, Outstanding Upperclassmen Award, and both the Outstanding Symphonic and Jazz Band Member Awards. Adam lives in Jenks, Oklahoma with his wonderful wife and daughter, has percussion music published with C. Alan Publications, and is proud to be endorsed as an educational artist with Innovative Percussion.
